How to resolve OLE error "82FA0066" problems with CDDB

Some users have experienced an OLE error "82FA0066" when doing a CDDB lookup after upgrading Audiophiler Music Organizer. This problem can sometimes be resolved by uninstalling and re-installing Audiophiler Music Organizer. If this does not reolve the probelm for you then follow the instructions below.

This problem occurs when Audiophiler is re-instlled into a different directory to where it was originally installed and is aplicable to v1.5.2 and earlier.

This problem has been resolved in v1.5.4. Simply download the latest version of Audiophiler Music Organizer to resolve this problem.

Key Violation error when adding new albums

If you receive a 'Key Violation' error when you save a new album then you need to repair the database.

To repair the database select the 'Repair Database' option from the 'Tools' menu.

Note: Audiophiler will automatically backup your database to a folder called 'My Documents\My Audiophiler Data\Backup' before repairing the database.

What information is available via CDDB?

In addition to the Album information, for each Track on the album the following

Audiophiler does not detect CD in drive

If Audiophiler does not detect that you have a CD in the drive, please check that no other applications are currently using the drive.

This is likely to happen, if for example, when you insert an audio CD and Windows Media Palyer automatically starts playing the CD. Stop playback of the CD and retry the operation in Audiophiler.

How to sort by more than one column?

To sort by more than one column, click the first column you want to sort by (eg. Artist), and then while holding down the SHIFT key, click each additional column (eg. Title).

To change to sort order of any of the columns without reselecting the columns, hold down the SHIFT key and click the column again to reverse the sort order.

You can sort albums, tracks, and any of the lists by multiple columns.

When will new versions of Audiophiler be released?

There will be a major version upgrade for Audiophiler at least once a year and usually every six months. In addition to this, there will be be minor version upgrades at least every three months and bug fix releases as required.

Where can I get the latest version of Audiophiler?

You can find the latest version of Audiophiler on this website in the downloads section.

Do I need to be connected to the Internet?

You do not need an Internet connection to use most functionality.

You only need to be connected to the Internet when using the CDDB Service to add, update and subit albums, and also to access the Music Guide.

"Unspecified Error" when installing Audiophiler

If you get a "Unspecified Error" (shown below) when installing Audiophiler, this means that the audiophilersetup.exe file is corrupt, probably because the download did not complete succesfully.



You will need to download Audiophiler again and rerun the install. If the error happens again you should try downloading Audiophiler from an alternate mirror site. See the download page for mirror sites.
